Verizon Wireless Renews Sponsorship Deal With The Houston Texans

HOUSTON, TX — Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, will be the official wireless provider of the Houston Texans. For the third consecutive year, Verizon Wireless is sponsoring a total of 13 professional football teams throughout the nation as the company strengthens community ties, works with players and football fans to prevent domestic violence and provide fans with inside-looks from coaches and players.

Since 2002, Verizon Wireless has sponsored the Houston Texans in hopes of establishing better relationships with the Houston community through in-store player appearances, local TXT Messaging sweepstakes and HopeLine® phone donation drives at Texans games to support victims of domestic violence. In addition, Verizon Wireless sponsors the Texans TXT service where customers can sign—up to receive a text message Info Alert providing them with exclusive team news directly from the team's coach and front offices.

In the 2004-05 professional football season alone, Verizon Wireless and the Houston Texans have collaborated in the following events:

• Player Appearances at Verizon Wireless Store Openings
• Texans Charity Golf Classic
• Organized game-day HopeLine drives
