Verizon Wireless Expands Presence In North Louisiana With New Store In Bossier City

BOSSIER CITY, LA — To stay ahead of the growing demand for its products and services, Verizon Wireless, the nation's wireless leader in customer loyalty, has opened its newest Communications Store in Bossier City. The new store is located at the corner of East Texas Street and Airline Drive, across from Pierre Bossier Mall.

The grand opening, featuring a "wire-cutting" ceremony conducted by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. During the ceremony, Verizon Wireless will present a donation to the YWCA of Northwest Louisiana as part of the company's ongoing commitment to combat domestic violence.

The grand opening celebration will continue on Saturday, Nov. 5, when the world-famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will sign autographs and "The Big Station" 99.7 KMJJ FM will broadcast live from the store from 1 to 3 p.m.

"As our presence in Shreveport and Bossier City continues to grow, Verizon Wireless is focused on providing each customer with the highest level of service," said Luis M. Cruz, region president for Verizon Wireless. "Additionally, we are continuing our commitment to work with important local organizations like the YWCA to support domestic violence awareness efforts in the community."

Customers will receive a 25-percent discount on select accessories and activation fees will be waived with an annual service agreement when they shop at the new Bossier City store through Sunday, Nov. 6. Shoppers can register to win four tickets to see the Dallas Cowboys take on the Detroit Lions at Texas Stadium on Nov. 20, as well as register to win a new LG VX5200 phone.

The new store features a variety of wireless products and services including TXT Messaging, Picture Messaging, NationalAccess wireless Internet access, Ringback tones and Get It Now® applications, including ring tones, games, productivity applications and more. At the new location, customers will find:

• An extensive customer service and technical support area totaling over 25 percent of the overall retail square footage
• A top-of-the-line self service center featuring a bill payment kiosk
• An informational video displayed on a 40" LCD screen, providing current and prospective customers with information on the latest handsets and accessories, wireless tips, roadside assistance, customer service, the Verizon Wireless network and account management options
