Verizon Wireless Celebrates Grand Opening Of New Downtown Honolulu, Hawaii Store

Honolulu, HI — In response to growing demand for the company's products and services in Oahu, Verizon Wireless will officially celebrate the grand opening of its newest retail location in Hawaii-downtown Honolulu, in the Executive Centre at Bishop and Hotel Streets. An array of grand opening activities will be held on Friday, February 17 from 11:30am — 6pm., including a ribbon cutting with Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann.

"As a wireless provider in the islands for more than 15 years, we remain committed to providing a superior customer experience, including convenient locations to talk with our knowledgeable sales staff," said Mark Yamauchi, director of Hawaii Sales. "This new location will further enable us to serve the increasing number of customers attracted by our continued network investment in the Hawaiian Islands and our award winning customer service." The company has invested more than $77 million over the last four years in its Hawaii network.

As part of the grand opening celebration, Verizon Wireless will make a $7,500 donation to the Domestic Violence Clearinghouse and Legal Hotline, an agency that dedicates itself to providing necessary services for victims of domestic violence. Through it's HopeLine® program, Verizon Wireless collects wireless phones and accessories that are recycled, or refurbished and sold, providing funds to award grants and phones with airtime to domestic violence prevention agencies.
