BEDMINSTER, NJ — With the last of the nation's largest wireless carriers reporting its 4th Quarter results, Verizon Wireless once again claims the title of the wireless leader in customer loyalty. For the fifth consecutive quarter, Verizon Wireless has the industry's lowest customer churn rate - the percentage of customers who disconnect their service, and an important indicator of customer loyalty.

Verizon Wireless reported last month that its 4th Quarter average monthly churn rate was 1.2%, repeating the industry record it set earlier in 2005. The company's performance outshines the other three carriers, which reported higher churn rates ranging between 2.1% and 2.9%.

"Our customers have sent a clear message to the entire wireless industry - Verizon Wireless is the leader in customer loyalty," said Lowell McAdam, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Verizon Wireless. "With the nation's most reliable wireless network and our industry-leading customer service, we are always working hard to improve the wireless experience for our customers and to meet their increasingly sophisticated wireless needs."

Verizon Wireless is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer satisfaction by providing a world-class wireless experience to its 51.3 million customers who rely on its nationwide network and on its industry leading customer service on the phone, online and in its nationwide Verizon Wireless Communications Stores. In fact, the company is at the top of more third-party surveys of customer satisfaction than any other single carrier.
