Latest ACSI Results Reinforce Verizon Wireless' Position As Wireless Leader In Customer Loyalty

Company Atop Index For the Third Consecutive Year; Results Follow Another Industry-Record Quarter

BEDMINSTER, NJ — For the third straight year, Verizon Wireless has come out on top in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) survey, the company announced today.

Verizon Wireless scored significantly above the industry average in the independent survey and no other carrier scored higher.

"We are pleased to once again score well above the industry average in this latest survey of customer satisfaction," said Lowell McAdam, executive vice president and COO of Verizon Wireless. "At Verizon Wireless, we're dedicated to delivering the best wireless experience in the U.S. and we work hard every day to meet our customers' high expectations of us."

Verizon Wireless is the nation's wireless leader in customer loyalty, based on company retention and turnover rates published by the largest providers. In the first quarter of this year, Verizon Wireless posted a record-low 1.18% churn rate in Q1 — the percentage of customers who disconnect their service in a given period of time - well below the industry average. The company has posted the lowest churn rate among the largest national wireless carriers for the past six consecutive quarters.

Verizon Wireless has also been recognized consistently as the customer loyalty leader in the U.S. wireless industry, not only for its customer service, but also for its network coverage, products and services. The ACSI is produced by the Stephen M. Ross Business School at the University of Michigan, in partnership with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the international consulting firm, CFI Group.
