CHARLOTTE, NC — Verizon Wireless, the nation's most reliable wireless network, announces the promotion of John Steinberger to Associate Director of Strategic Sales for western North Carolina.
In this role, Steinberger will be responsible for managing a team of sales and support people that service Verizon Wireless' strategic large business accounts in Charlotte and western North Carolina. Steinberger will ensure Verizon Wireless' growing business customers receive top levels of service and promote Verizon Wireless as the market leader in the wireless industry.

"He has a well-established reputation of exceptional performance and will no doubt enhance Verizon Wireless' position as the nation's most reliable wireless network."
Steinberger's team will present business customers with Verizon Wireless' industry-leading portfolio of six wireless PC cards for laptops and eight broadband PDA's supporting many popular platforms: MS Windows, RIM and Palm. Verizon Wireless now has 26.1 million data customers and just last year brought 3G EV-DO high-speed network to Charlotte.
A 20-year veteran in the communications industry, Steinberger was named Verizon Wireless' Major Account Manager of the Year in 2004. He is also a past president of the Southeastern Communications Association.
