SPOKANE, WA — WHAT:
Verizon Wireless Communications Stores in Northtown and Sullivan Center will host volunteers from Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) and the Sheriff's Community Oriented Policing Effort (SCOPE) to fingerprint and photograph children as a safety measure. Parents will receive a safety packet for their child ($1 donation to COPS/SCOPE required).
Experts will demonstrate Verizon Wireless' Migo phone, a child-friendly device featuring large buttons that parents can program to speed-dial four important numbers, plus an emergency key.
