Verizon Wireless Hiring Technical Support Positions in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Albuquerque, NM — Interested in the newest wireless technologies? Have a passion for outstanding customer service? Verizon Wireless is hiring new employees for remaining vacancies in its Wireless Data Technical Support Center in Albuquerque.

The company has also finalized plans for a Customer Service Center that will bring an additional 400 new, full-time jobs to Albuquerque by year-end. Hiring for those positions will begin in late summer.

Growth in data services fuels new jobs
The Albuquerque Wireless Data Technical Support group is one of three national teams dedicated to providing specialized technical support to Verizon Wireless' more than 53 million voice and data customers.

Trained representatives provide wireless data support for customers with laptops with BroadbandAccess or NationalAccess wireless Internet access, as well as PDAs, including the company's two newest exclusive devices-the Motorola Q^TM and the Palm^® Treo^TM 700p.

$20 million facility
Construction is underway on a $20 million facility located at 7000 Central Ave. SW in the Southwest Mesa area. When complete in late fall 2006, the company's Wireless Data Technical Support Center, currently located at 7120 Wyoming Avenue NE, will move to the new facility.

The center will combine both the technical support team as well as the Customer Service team and will be able to accommodate up to 1,400 positions.
