BASKING RIDGE, NJ — According to telecommunications research firm Strategy Analytics, more than one in three mobile phone customers have contacted customer support with a question about their handset. Verizon Wireless customers, according to Strategy Analytics' latest Customer Support Satisfaction Index, report the highest level of satisfaction with every aspect of their contact including customer support, the speed, effectiveness, professionalism of question resolution, as well as knowledge and helpfulness of the customer support representatives.

Verizon Wireless consistently earned high marks in the Index, which shows:

  • 73% of Verizon Wireless customers were satisfied or very satisfied with how quickly customer support dealt with their question or problem. This percentage is 14% higher than the average (59%), and was the highest when compared to the top U.S. competitors.
  • Verizon Wireless customers were the most satisfied (78%) when asked if the customer support staff was knowledgeable and helpful.
  • Verizon Wireless customers were the most satisfied (76%) with the extent to which their question or problem was resolved.
  • Only 36% of Verizon Wireless customers were likely to have contacted customer support with problems or questions, the lowest number among all carriers included in the study.
