CHANDLER, AZ — Verizon Wireless and the Arizona State University (ASU) Athletics Department invite you to join in during Domestic Violence Awareness month to help be part of the solution.

Fans attending the Sun Devils home game on Saturday, October 21 can donate their used wireless phones and accessories to the Verizon Wireless HopeLine® program. Drop boxes will be located by the Verizon Wireless vehicle and at the southwest entrance at Sun Devil Stadium from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Verizon Wireless' HopeLine program collects wireless phones and accessories from any wireless service provider, and then refurbishes the phones or recycles them in an environmentally friendly way. Proceeds from the program are used to provide wireless phones and airtime, and financial grants to domestic violence and non-profit advocacy agencies.

"As a sponsor of ASU Athletics, we are proud to team up with the Sun Devils to extend a HopeLine to victims of domestic violence," said Tony Heyman, regional president for Verizon Wireless. "Together, we can help curb an epidemic that affects one in every three American women during their lifetime."

Wireless phones and equipment can be donated to the HopeLine program year-round at any Verizon Wireless Communications Store across the country.
