MOROCCO, IN — The activation of a new Verizon Wireless cell site in Morocco means more customers can use their wireless phones to make calls, send and receive e-mail and TXT, Picture and Video Messages, and download games and ring tones while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

The new cell site improves coverage in Morocco; along U.S. Route 41 between Kentland and Lake Village; and along State Road 114 between Mount Ayr and the Indiana-Illinois state line.

"This upgrade means more customers can keep in touch with friends and family while on the go, check email when away from the office and share pictures instantly-all on the nation's most reliable wireless network," said Greg Haller, president—Indiana/Kentucky/Michigan Region, Verizon Wireless.

The new Morocco cell site is part of Verizon Wireless' continuous effort to increase coverage and augment the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Indiana and across the country. Verizon Wireless has invested $35 billion in the last seven years - $5 billion on average every year since the company was formed - to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network and to add new services. The company has invested more than $618 million over the past six years in its Indiana network.
