Verizon Wireless Applauds Senators McCain And DeMint's Call For Three-Year Moratorium On Wireless Taxes

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, applauded the "Cell Phone Tax Moratorium Act of 2007" introduced yesterday in the United States Senate by Sens. McCain (R-Ariz.) and DeMint (R-S.C.). The legislation calls for a three-year moratorium on state and local governments placing discriminatory taxes on wireless services.
