Verizon Wireless Expands Customer Service Options In Durham, North Carolina With New Communications Store

DURHAM, NC — In response to growing demand for the company's voice and data services, Verizon Wireless has opened a full-service communications store in Durham, NC. Verizon Wireless kicks-off the official grand opening on January 13 — January 20, 2007. The new Durham Verizon Wireless store, located at 5319 New Hope Commons Ext. Suite 101 in the Indigo Corners Shopping Center will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, January 18th, 1 p.m. with Durham city and chamber representatives.

The new Durham store features the full range of Verizon Wireless products and services and is fully staffed for customer service and technical support, allowing customers to speak with Verizon Wireless' highly trained representatives about all their wireless needs.

The new store also features:

• A top-of-the-line self-service center with bill payment kiosk
• An informational video displayed on an LCD screen to provide customers with information on the latest handsets and accessories, the Verizon Wireless network, wireless tips, roadside assistance, customer service, account management options and much more

In celebration of the grand opening, Verizon Wireless is offering customers waived activation fee and 25% off select accessories, as well as a chance to win an LG Chocolate. Verizon Wireless customers can enter to win the LG Chocolate by registering at the new Verizon Wireless store January 13 — January 20.

To reinforce Verizon Wireless' commitment to the communities where customers and employees live and work, Verzion Wireless will donate $2,000 to the Durham Rescue Mission, the oldest, largest and most extensive provider of services for homeless men, women, children, and families in the Durham area. The donation will help fund the Durham County Rescue Mission's women's computer class, which teaches women living in the shelter advanced computer skills for future job opportunities as well as earning college credit. The check presentation will take place in conjunction with the ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, January 18, 1 p.m.
