Verizon Wireless Opens First Communications Store In Naperville, Illinois, Hires Eight Area Residents

NAPERVILLE, IL — Verizon Wireless has announced the opening of its first Communications Store in Naperville, Illinois bringing to local consumers the hottest wireless phones and newest technology operating on the nation's most reliable network. The company has hired eight area residents to fill retail positions at the store.

The 1,843-square-foot store, located at 111 E. Ogden Ave., includes separate sales and customer service areas to better serve consumers.

Local residents who have been hired to fill the store's new retail positions are:

  • Peter Baird of Plainfield — customer service representative
  • Michelle Baker of Chicago — customer service representative
  • Jack Cady of West Chicago — retail sales representative
  • Tim Davis of Woodridge — retail sales representative
  • Barrett Kruse of Bensenville — assistant store manager
  • Diane Mahan of Villa Park — retail sales representative
  • Eddie Ortiz of Aurora — assistant store manager
  • Brian Stytz of Downers Grove — customer service representative

Verizon Wireless has named Sylvia Tokarz as manager of the new store. Melissa Ward of Joliet has transferred from the company's Joliet location to help staff the new Naperville store as a retail sales representative.

The Naperville store, one of more than 100 company-owned Communications Stores and kiosks in Illinois, is open Monday though Saturday from 9 a.m.—8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.—6 p.m. The store's phone number is 630-420-3299.
