Verizon Wireless Continues Growth In Georgia With New Store In Hiram

HIRAM, GA — Verizon Wireless, which owns and operates the nation's most reliable wireless network serving 59 million customers, announces the opening of its newest location in Georgia. The new store, located at 4791 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway, is open for business and will host its official grand opening ceremony Wednesday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. Representatives from the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce will share in the celebration.

To commemorate the grand opening, Verizon Wireless will present a HopeLine^® grant to Shepherd's Rest Ministries, at the March 7 ceremony. Shepherd's Rest Ministries provides informational resources and critical support to victims of abuse. HopeLine is Verizon Wireless' exclusive nationwide phone recycling program that distributes previously owned wireless phones to victims of domestic violence, supports non-profit domestic violence advocacy groups and provides an environmentally safe method for recycling phones.

On Saturday, March 10, Verizon Wireless will host a children's fingerprinting session at the store, 11:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m. In an effort to make area children safer, Verizon Wireless has teamed up with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office to host the event. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the store to create and file a permanent record of their fingerprints. These records have been proven to save lives in the case of lost or kidnapped children.
