Verizon Wireless Unveils New Communications Store Concept In Clifton, New Jersey

Unique Hands-on Approach Delivers Customer-focused Retail Experience

ORANGEBURG, NY — Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, broke new ground in wireless retail this month when it opened its Verizon Wireless Communications Store in Clifton, NJ. The store is an evolution in the wireless retail concept offering consumers hands-on experience with wireless voice, data, music and video services in a sleek, new full-service environment.

Located in the Riverfront Shopping Center at 382 Route 3 West, the store is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The store phone number is 973-778-9059.

"Verizon Wireless is committed to providing customers with a hassle-free shopping experience as well as easy access to support services, " said Store Manager Bryan Weatherly. "Our new 3,000 square-foot Clifton store provides equitable space for both retail and customer service areas to accommodate all customer needs."

In addition to a dedicated "demo bar" where customer interaction is guided by a product savvy sales staff, the new "evolution" store design integrates a number of new systems and operational enhancements designed to streamline the sales process and increase customer satisfaction. A check-in kiosk, for example, invites customers to sign in upon arrival and stay informed via monitors that track their place in the queue for service. Technical assistance and customer support areas are roomy and easy to locate and customers are invited to explore the interactive displays while the check in system holds their place in line.

"Customers choose Verizon Wireless because they want service on the nation's most reliable wireless network," Weatherly said. "Providing a modern and interactive approach to our retail environment will enhance our customers' experience far beyond the initial purchase of a phone and accessories."

Just last month, the company introduced another industry first when it put customers in the driver's seat to take the nation's most reliable wireless network for a spin. 'Test Drive' gives customers the opportunity to be their own Test Man or Woman and experience the Verizon Wireless network virtually risk-free for 30 days. If at any point during the 30-day Test Drive customers are not satisfied with their experience and take their number to another wireless carrier, Verizon Wireless will refund their money for their voice calls, equipment, activation fee and taxes, as well as release them from their contract without an early termination fee when they return their phone within the Test Drive period.

Test Drive is available to new customers signing up for the America's Choice® or Americas Choice with Push to Talk Calling Plans. Customers will remain responsible for data services; application downloads, such as games, music or other V CAST services, applicable taxes on those services, 411 calls and certain Verizon Wireless surcharges.

Demand for Verizon Wireless services continued last year when the company added nearly eight million new customers, more than any other wireless carrier. Verizon Wireless now serves more than 59 million customers nationwide.

"Consumers and businesses hungry for even more wireless content can come in and learn about the company's high-speed wireless Internet connections with Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess service," Weatherly said. "With BroadbandAccess and a PC card that slides directly into most laptop computers, customers can quickly and easily connect to the Internet wirelessly and download e-mail attachments at speeds 10 times faster than dial-up."

The Clifton Communications Store is one of 140 Verizon Wireless retail locations in the New York Metro area.
