NEW YORK, NY — Verizon customers will be able to enjoy the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival from a number of convenient options that will keep them tuned into festival happenings from home or while on-the-go. Movie lovers will soon be able to see selected content from the Festival, which runs from April 25 — May 6, on their Verizon Wireless mobile phones, VerizonSurround (www.verizon.net/tff) and Verizon FiOS TV.

Beginning on April 24, Verizon customers can access an outstanding list of movie trailers and short films that will be making their debut at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. Verizon customers can experience the excitement of Independent film with access to short films that range from one women's journey through obsessions and distractions in "The Home" to the chronicle of love between a Christian boy and Jewish girl in "Kosher."

V CAST from Verizon Wireless will bring the Tribeca Film Festival to the mobile phones of movie lovers nationwide for the first time. Exclusive made-for-mobile content will be updated frequently throughout the festival and available to both daily and monthly V CAST subscribers. V CAST will give film enthusiasts access to a wide variety of Festival content including feature film trailers, short films and daily highlights from the Festival. The V CAST content will also soon be available on Verizon FiOS TV and VerizonSurround, which is creating a Tribeca Film Festival microsite.

"Verizon is helping to celebrate the world of independent film by bringing the Tribeca Film Festival to a much broader audience across our wireless, broadband and FiOS networks," said John Harrobin, Senior Vice President Marketing and Digital Media at Verizon. "We're glad to spotlight the hugely inspiring talent and spirit coming out of Tribeca while supporting the Lower Manhattan neighborhoods where the festival takes place."

"As a Festival, we want to share the Tribeca experience with as many movie lovers and film buffs as possible. Verizon's sponsorship will enable us to give more than 59 million Verizon customers a taste of Tribeca," said Craig Hatkoff, Co-Founder of the Tribeca Film Festival.

The multi-year deal includes an opportunity for current and previous Tribeca Film Festival feature films to be screened on both Verizon FiOS TV and VerizonSurround. In addition to the feature films and movie trailers, short films and V CAST mobile content, the Tribeca Film Festival has also commissioned three talented filmmakers to produce made-for-mobile short films exclusively for Verizon. Oscar-nominated director Oren Jacoby ("Sister Rose's Passion"), critically acclaimed actress and playwright Anna Deveare Smith (TV's "The West Wing") and first time filmmaker Mark Campbell of the New Orleans Saints will take part in the project. Each mobile short film will be approximately five minutes long and available to Verizon Wireless customers on V CAST enabled phones and soon to VerizonSurround and Verizon FiOS TV customers.

The Festival's mission is to assist filmmakers to reach the broadest possible audience, enable the international film community and the general public to experience the power of film, and to promote New York City as a major filmmaking center.
