WARRENDALE, PA — Verizon Wireless announced today that it has invested $140 million to increase the coverage and capacity of its network and to add services in Pennsylvania in the first half of 2007, bringing its total investment to nearly $1.4 billion in the state since 2001.
Verizon Wireless offers its high-speed Evolution Data Optimized Revision A (EV-DO Rev. A) network in cities throughout Pennsylvania including Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, Lebanon, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Williamsport and York.
With the high-speed wireless broadband network, Verizon Wireless customers can to download files at speeds approximately ten times faster than customers of wireless service that use different broadly deployed network technologies.
