LEXINGTON, SC — In response to growing demand for the company's voice and data services, Verizon Wireless has opened the doors to a new, full-service communications store in Lexington, South Carolina. The new Verizon Wireless store, located at 5596 Sunset Boulevard, will host a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, April 3rd, at 2:00 p.m.

To recognize Verizon Wireless' strong commitment to help end domestic violence through its HopeLine® program, the company will donate $1,000 to Sistercare, Inc., a local agency focused on preventing and ending domestic violence, during a check presentation in conjunction with the ribbon cutting ceremony.

"Verizon Wireless' financial contributions and commitment to domestic violence prevention helps strengthen our ability to offer emergency support services to women and children who are in danger," says Kathleen Shaw, Development Director for Sistercare, Inc., which serves Richland, Lexington, Newberry, Fairfield & Kershaw counties. "We appreciate Verizon Wireless' corporate commitment to eradicating domestic violence."
