CHARLOTTE, NC — Susan Staples, a Charlotte resident and business sales representative for Verizon Wireless, has been named to the company's President's Cabinet for ranking in the top one percent nationally in sales for the nation's most reliable wireless network.
Staples was one of just six people in North Carolina to earn the distinction for performance within the sales organization team, among the 465 business sales representatives at Verizon Wireless nationwide. In 2007, there were 207 winners out of more than 15,000 sales employees.
Staples' day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with Wachovia and Lowe's national accounts in the Carolinas/Tennessee region to implement new wireless initiatives to ensure all wireless needs are being met for both the corporation and their employees.
"Susan has a well-established reputation of outstanding performance throughout her tenure with Verizon Wireless," said Jerry Fountain, Carolinas/Tennessee region president for Verizon Wireless. "She exemplifies what it means to put customers first and is highly valued by her customers and the company."
Staples also received the Top Business Sales Representative for the Carolinas/Tennessee region based upon her quota of 174.36 percent and was number one in VZ Access sales in 2007.
