CHARLOTTE, NC — Mark Boggs, a native Charlotte resident and data sales manager for Verizon Wireless, has been named to the company's President's Cabinet for ranking in the top one percent nationally in sales for the nation's most reliable wireless network.
Boggs was one of just six people in North Carolina to earn the distinction for performance within the sales organization team, among the 75 data sales managers at Verizon Wireless nationwide. In 2007, there were 207 winners out of more than 15,000 sales employees.
Boggs' day-to-day responsibilities include helping the sales team sell data devices and services to corporate and government agencies across the region. Last year, his team was responsible for selling 67,000+ data devices across North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

This is the third time Boggs has been awarded this high distinction his other two awards are from 2004 and 2005; he is the only person in the entire Verizon Wireless data sales division to receive the National President's Cabinet award more than two times. Boggs has also been awarded the departmental Employee of the Year award for 2007 for the data organization.
