MINNETONKA, MN — Verizon Wireless has relocated its Communications Store in Minnetonka to a nearby location at 13000 Ridgedale Drive. The 5,516-square-foot store will better serve the company’s growing customer base and enhance the overall customer experience with a new and highly interactive retail concept that is a departure from Verizon Wireless’ traditional retail store design. The store is also the first in the country with a dedicated Business Service Center to better serve small- and medium-sized business customers and the employee-base of large corporate accounts.

The store features the company’s new interactive design that allows customers to pickup and try wireless devices and experience on-demand access to short news, weather, sports and entertainment video clips and cutting-edge 3D games. Users can also trial Verizon Wireless’ world-class over-the-air mobile and desktop subscription music service – V CAST Music with Rhapsody. The store features accessories such as Bluetooth® headsets and stereo speakers and allows customers to view products and services on interactive television screens.

The Business Service Center demonstrates wireless cards and modems for high-speed Internet access and showcases e-mail server options for small- and medium-sized businesses. These demonstrations include exchange server solutions such as RemoSync and BlackBerry® smartphone and PDA devices used by businesses for e-mail access. Demonstrations are also available for Field Force Manager, a mobile resource management tool that uses location based services-enabled handsets and a Web portal to enhance information and process flow between field workers and the office for real-time dispatch of jobs, reports, timecards and navigation services.

“The new Minnetonka store is the largest in our five-state region and provided the space to uniquely service the increasing number of business customers for sales, service and product demonstrations,” said Nancy B. Clark, president – Great Plains region, Verizon Wireless. “Small business demand for our wireless service continues to grow as our network upgrades provide new, more sophisticated services for our customers.”

The store, managed by Jeff Schultz, is one of 32 Verizon Wireless company-owned Communications Stores in Minnesota. Store hours are Monday though Friday 9 a.m.–9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.–8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m.–6 p.m. For more information about the store, call 952-546-0017.
