BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Giving the gift of a prepaid wireless plan is a sized-just-right option for holiday shoppers. Verizon Wireless prepaid service offers customers a host of options including an extensive lineup of wireless phones that start at $39.99 and a range of plans that fit any budget and lifestyle.

All Verizon Wireless prepaid plans – Core, Plus and Power – include unlimited calling to other Verizon Wireless customers on the nation’s most reliable network. Daily access fees begin at $0.99 and apply only on the days customers use the service. Customers or gift givers can establish and maintain Verizon Wireless’ prepaid service for as low as $15 or with $100 set up on the account for a full year.

Music, Messaging and More
Customers can use their Verizon Wireless prepaid accounts much like a store paying for a range of options inclusive of V CAST Music with Rhapsody, ringtones, ringback tones, Mobile Web, VZ Navigator(SM), games and other applications. Text, picture and video messaging bundles are available as well with unlimited messaging for $20 per month. For customers who text message to mostly other Verizon Wireless customers, a $10 unlimited in-network option is available that also includes an additional 250 messages to anyone on any network.

International Services for Prepaid Customers
Verizon Wireless prepaid service is the perfect option for those who need the convenience of International Calling or text messaging. Customers can make calls at pay-per-minute rates as low as $0.10 a minute to landlines in Mexico and $1.49 to other international locations.

Prepaid customers can use their text messaging-capable phones to send text messages to customers in Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico at $0.10 per message. Text messages sent to customers of the participating carriers in other international locations are $0.25 per message, and text messages received from these locations are $0.10 per message.

International Voice Roaming now allows prepaid customers to roam in select countries with their existing Verizon Wireless phones. Customers are charged $0.69 per minute in Puerto Rico, Canada and the U.S. Virgin Islands; $0.99 per minute in Mexico and $1.99 per minute in Bermuda. For customers on the Core, Plus and Power plans, text messages from participating international locations are charged based on the prepaid calling plan the customer has selected, and messaging bundles do not apply when roaming internationally.
