OXNARD, CA — CalAmp Corp. (NASDAQ: CAMP), a leading provider of wireless products, services and solutions, announced today that its 882-EVDO 3G cellular broadband router is commercially available and has been certified to run on the Verizon Wireless network.
The 882-EVDO is used to establish Data or Internet connectivity at 3G speeds and is targeted at a variety of applications including fail-over back-up for wired broadband connections, high-speed connectivity for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Ethernet web cameras and other Ethernet devices.
The 882-EVDO offers an integrated Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server, port forwarding and port mapping capabilities providing wireless data connectivity through public cellular networks. As a fully certified integrated platform, it can be easily and rapidly deployed for industrial data communication applications requiring TCP/IP connectivity.
