Verizon Wireless Expands Broadcast-Quality V CAST Mobile TV In Suffolk County, New York

ORANGEBURG, NY — Now more Verizon Wireless customers can access broadcast-quality television on a variety of mobile television-enabled handsets right in their neighborhoods. In a continuing effort to provide customers with a wide range of multimedia and entertainment options, Verizon Wireless today announced the expansion of V CAST Mobile TV service in Suffolk County to include the towns of Centereach, Smithtown, Ronkonkoma, Islandia, Central Islip and Islip.

V CAST Mobile TV was first introduced in the Greater New York Metro Area in May 2007 and in Suffolk County in January 2008. In addition to these new service areas, V CAST Mobile TV already serves a large portion of Suffolk County including Lindenhurst, West Islip, Holbrook, and from Coram east to Riverhead; all of Nassau County, Staten Island, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. In Northern New Jersey, V CAST Mobile TV currently is available in portions of Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Union, Passaic and Morris counties.

V CAST Mobile TV offers broadcast-quality video from the best of broadcast and cable television 24 hours-a-day, including the Late Show with David Letterman, The Colbert Report, The Hills, 30 Rock and Dora the Explorer. The service offers shows and mobile television content for TV viewers of all ages and interests from many of the best-known entertainment brands including CBS Mobile, Comedy Central, CNBC, ESPN Mobile TV, ESPN Radio Fox Mobile, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, MTV, MTV Tr3s, NBC 2Go and Nickelodeon. The service also comes with parental control features, so parents can monitor and restrict the programs their children view.

Monthly access for V CAST Mobile TV packages ranges from $13 to $25 per month. Customers signing up for the $25 Select Package will receive their first month of V CAST Mobile TV free, along with the V CAST VPak, which includes unlimited basic V CAST Video clips, ESPN MVP, unlimited data sent or received for V CAST Videos, Mobile Web and Get It Now®/Media Center.

V CAST Mobile TV from Verizon Wireless is provided by the FLO TV™ service from MediaFLO USA Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Inc.. Because MediaFLO USA operates a dedicated multicast network that delivers programming in a linear format, Verizon Wireless can offer customers the latest in mobile entertainment without impacting its award-winning voice and data services.
