CARPIO, ND — Verizon Wireless, the wireless company with the highest customer loyalty, has activated a new cell site in Carpio, N.D., which will enable more customers to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive e-mail and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos; and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.
The new cell site in Carpio improves coverage:
- Within the town, including in-building
- Along U.S. Highway 52 for eight miles northwest and 10 miles southeast of Carpio
- Along State Highway 28 for two and a half miles north and south of the town
- East along County Road 6 for five miles

This new cell site is part of Verizon Wireless' continual effort to expand coverage, increase capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in North Dakota and throughout the country. In 2008, the company invested more than $20.9 million in its North Dakota network improvements.
