What:
In celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage Month (APAHM), Verizon Wireless is proud to sponsor the Map the Soul Concert Series featuring premier Korean hip hop band Epik High, Asian-American hip-hop sensation Far East Movement, and rapper Kero One.

Verizon Wireless is an avid supporter of the Asian American community throughout Washington, and is hosting this concert series to recognize the contributions of Asian-American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) to the entertainment and arts.

In addition to the concert performance Epik High will be present for an In-Store Autograph Signing Session and will be available for interviews upon request.

Epik High, a hip hop group from South Korea. Their music addresses serious social issues such as identity, discrimination, community, unity and change as a whole. EpikHigh has won major awards including Best Hip Hop Artist at the Korean Gold Disc Awards, and a tie for Best Artist of the year. Their song Fly, from their third album Swan Songs was a huge hit, claiming the #1 place on many Korean TV music programs and online music charts

Why:
Verizon is sponsoring the Map the Soul Concert Tour (staging concerts in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and New York). Verizon Wireless supports a variety of Asian American community, philanthropic and cultural events throughout the year.
