BASKING RIDGE, N.J. — With just a few days remaining until Verizon’s first-ever Verizon Developer Community (VDC) Conference, mobile application developers can still participate by signing up to watch a live webcast of the event. To see the full agenda and to register for the webcast, visit www.vdc2009.com.

The conference is designed to encourage interaction and dialogue between Verizon and developers and among the development community. During the morning sessions, three developer companies, each of which represents a different part of the industry, will take the stage to share their insights and experiences, offering information about their expectations and experiences with Verizon and the process of bringing new and innovative applications to market.

Topics slated to be addressed include how developers can leverage their success on current platforms in the new open development environment, how access to APIs and services can enhance applications, and how early-stage or start-up developers can take advantage of Verizon’s scale and distribution as they develop and launch new applications.

Watch the Conference via Webcast or on Twitter

The developer presentations will take place during the morning sessions, which also features speakers from Verizon, RIM and Softbank Mobile.
