GREENSBORO, NC — Tina Stec, a major account manager for Verizon Wireless, was recently awarded the Commander's Award for Excellence by A Co, 2nd Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group (Airborne). This award is reserved for civilians who exemplify excellence in service to the United States Army. Stec, a five-year employee with Verizon Wireless who handles the U.S. Army account in Fort Bragg, N.C., was presented the Commander's Award for Excellence for her dedication to resolving the unit's multiple implementation issues during the rollout of a large contract.

According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) released in May, Verizon Wireless led the industry in customer satisfaction and received its highest marks for customer satisfaction ever. Verizon Wireless scored above the industry average and jumped three percent higher than last year to continue its lead over the other national wireless companies included in this year's study.
