HONOLULU, HI — The Verizon Wireless Hawai'i Junior Surf Team will greet fans and sign autographs on Saturday, August 22 at the Pacific Guardian Tower Verizon Wireless store.
The 12-member Verizon Wireless Hawai'i Junior Surf Team claimed the silver medal at the International Surfing Association World Junior Surfing Championships one of the most prestigious events in junior surfing in Ecuador earlier this year. Also, 15-year-old team member Keanu Asing won an individual gold medal in the 16 and under division, and 13-year-old team member Alessa Quizon won an individual bronze medal in the 18 and under division.
A Verizon Wireless Hawai'i Junior Surf Team Back to School VIP prize pack will also be offered. It will include a Verizon Wireless HP Mini 1151 NR Netbook, a surfboard autographed by the Verizon Wireless Hawai'i Junior Surf Team, a Billabong backpack and a Verizon Wireless gift card.
