BISMARCK, ND — Verizon Wireless, the wireless company with the highest customer loyalty, has activated two new cell sites near Moffit and Streeter, which enable more customers to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive e-mail and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos; and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

The first site, located 2.5 miles north of Moffit on U.S. Highway 83, improves coverage north of Moffit for 6.5 miles on U.S. Highway 83; south of Moffit for 3.5 miles on U.S. Highway 83; east of U.S. Highway 83 for 3.5 miles and southwest of U.S. Highway 83 for six miles.

The cell site located near Streeter improves coverage along 50th Avenue Southeast north to 48th Street Southeast and south to 48th Street Southeast. Coverage also is improved along County Road 37 east to 55th Avenue Southeast and west to 47th Avenue Southeast.

These new cell sites are part of Verizon Wireless' continual effort to expand coverage, increase capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in North Dakota and throughout the country. Verizon Wireless has invested more than $50 billion since it was formed-$5.5 billion on average every year-to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services. In North Dakota, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $160 million since 2001 on new cell sites and other network improvements.
