DENVER, CO — WHO:
Verizon Wireless, a corporate leader in domestic violence awareness and creator of the HopeLine® phone recycling and reuse program

WHAT:
Presentation of the HopeLine Law Enforcement Partnership Award to Denver Police Chief Gerald Whitman, including remarks by:

  • Mark Harris, vice president - National Government Sales and Operations, Verizon Wireless
  • Sean Hull, director of business sales, Verizon Wireless
  • Gerald Whitman, chief of police, Denver
  • Victoria McVicker, chief executive officer, SafeHouse-Denver

A $5,000 HopeLine grant will also be presented during the event to SafeHouse Denver in honor of Chief Whitman's contributions.

BACKGROUND:
The HopeLine Law Enforcement Partnership Award honors the efforts of public safety personnel and organizations across the country committed to reducing domestic violence, providing support to victims, raising awareness of the issue and educating communities about domestic violence.
