BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Verizon has been positioned by Gartner Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant of the analyst firm's newly released report, "Magic Quadrant for U.S. Telecommunications Service Providers."¹

Gartner examined 12 U.S.-based telecommunications service providers in its report. In recognition of the growing trend by business customers to purchase wireline and wireless voice and data services from a single provider, Gartner this year has combined its wireless service provider Magic Quadrant with its network service provider Magic Quadrant.

"Our leading IP and wireless networks plus our ability to deliver integrated solutions continue to set us apart," said Fran Shammo, president of Verizon Business. "In addition to our network strengths and extensive portfolio, we work tirelessly to offer our customers a seamless wireline-wireless experience, including our unified global Verizon Enterprise Center portal."

Positioning in the Magic Quadrant reflects the ability to execute and completeness of vision. According to Gartner's report: "Leaders have a full portfolio of voice and data products across both wired and wireless technologies, with frequent offerings of combined services, coupled with above-average service and support, focused-enterprise investment, strong sales support, competitive pricing and a driver in the market in terms of technology adoption, partnerships and on-time launches. They have a strong vision that includes both internal innovation, an eye on joint ventures and partnerships, and the ability to deliver a consistent product and message."

Verizon combines professional expertise with one of the world's most connected IP networks and America's most reliable wireless network to deliver award-winning communications, IT, information security and network solutions. Many of the world's largest businesses and governments - including 96 percent of the Fortune 1000 and thousands of government agencies and educational institutions - rely on Verizon's professional and managed services and network technologies to accelerate their business.
