BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Verizon Wireless today announced the availability of Dynamic Mobile Network Routing to improve and enhance the ability of enterprise customers to seamlessly integrate their wireline and wireless networks. The solution will be part of an expanding portfolio of wireless offerings available to enterprise customers from the newly formed Global Enterprise and Government Sales Team.

The global team, with Mike Lanman at the helm as president, is comprised of six vertically aligned vice presidents who, along with their staffs and support organizations, will provide enterprise and government customers with industry-specific wireless solutions that go far beyond traditional voice and data products to include machine-to-machine solutions, cloud computing and more. Global communication solutions, jointly delivered with partners Vodafone and Verizon Business, will be significant to this effort.

Dynamic Mobile Network Routing is an example of the solutions that leverage the nation’s most reliable 3G data network to benefit the enterprise. Dynamic Mobile Network Routing is ideal for companies in the manufacturing, retail, financial and public safety sectors and gives the enterprise the ability to extend their wide area network (WAN). The solution is designed to communicate on a company’s private network with any device connected to an Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) wireless wide area network (WWAN) router, including PCs, notebooks and ATMs. Dynamic Mobile Network Routing provides a more cost-effective, scalable solution than is currently available. Verizon Wireless is the first wireless company to offer this type of mobile private network routing solution, which is critical to customers looking to expand mobile endpoints.

“Enterprise customers will find the newly formed organization will bring a number of industry-specific wireless solutions to the table when they meet with customers,” Lanman said. “We have realigned our organization; we are expanding our portfolio with products like Dynamic Mobile Network Routing, and we have aligned our teams with the resources that can draw upon the best practices of Verizon and Vodafone. Our goal is to provide enterprise customers with the Verizon Wireless single point of contact who can help companies incorporate the communications solutions that extend to the far reaches of their organizations.”

The vertical alignment of the enterprise sales and support teams means large customers will have the benefit of working with wireless experts who understand and can support a business at a regional, national and international level. The areas of focus include healthcare, retail, professional services, technology, finance, insurance, manufacturing, transportation, distribution and construction.
