BALTIMORE, MD — Verizon Wireless was presented with a Diversity Trailblazer Award at the 11th annual Minority Business Summit (MBS), a gathering of minority business leaders held in Baltimore, Maryland. The company, which was honored for diversity in its retail sales force, was selected through a survey of more than 1,000 respondents, beating out several other national retailers. In addition to the retail designation, awards were provided in 11 other categories: banking, construction, media, restaurants, college/university, healthcare, government agency, hotel, law, suppliers and diversity champion.
