BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Music fans across the country can get an all-access pass to the most critically acclaimed music festival in the United States – the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, taking place from Friday, April 16 to Sunday, April 18. For the first time, Verizon Wireless and Coachella will bring customers exclusive festival content to V CAST Video on their Verizon Wireless phones, including live performances from some of the most groundbreaking artists from all genres of music.

Beginning Friday, April 16 at 2 p.m. EDT, select musical performances from Coachella will be streamed live to Verizon Wireless customers’ mobile phones, giving fans the opportunity to watch the mega-music event live even if they are unable make it to the festival grounds, thanks to the largest and most reliable wireless voice and 3G data network in the country. Additional coverage of Coachella will be streamed live over the weekend. The live and archived video stream can be found on V CAST-capable phones in the Media Center/Get It Now® under V CAST Video/Music.

Customers with select 3G Multimedia Phones and 3G Smartphones can check out V CAST Video for a $10 monthly subscription, which includes access to full-length television shows plus news, sports, weather, live entertainment and access to Verizon Wireless’ ESPN MVP service. There are no megabyte charges to download, stream or watch V CAST content with any V CAST subscription; however, customers must also have a data package for a data usage allowance. The 11th Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival will take place Friday, April 16 through Sunday, April 18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., and will feature a mix of artists, including Jay-Z, Muse, Gorillaz, Pavement, Thom Yorke, Vampire Weekend, Them Crooked Vultures, LCD Soundsystem, Phoenix, Tiësto, Faith No More, Deadmau5, David Guetta and MGMT.
