ST. LOUIS, MO — Verizon Wireless, the wireless company with the highest customer loyalty, has activated new cell sites in St. Louis County, Missouri, including areas in Creve Coeur, Chesterfield and Clayton, which will enable more customers to use their wireless phones and air cards to make calls; send and receive e-mail and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos; and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

The new cell sites improve Verizon Wireless voice and data coverage in the following areas:

  • Page & I-270 – Along I-270 from Dorsett Road to Olive Boulevard and along Page Avenue from west of Bennington Road to Schuetz Road.
  • Clayton Road – Along Clayton Road from Warson Road to John Burroughs School and north of I-64 to Ladue Road. Includes enhanced coverage at both the St. Louis Country Club and the Bogey Club.
  • Olive Boulevard & Lindbergh – Includes Monsanto campus and areas along Lindbergh from Ladue Road north to Schuetz Road as well as areas along Olive Boulevard from Creve Coeur east to Olivette.
  • Chesterfield South – Area surrounding Clarkson Road at Kehr’s Mill Road including Forest Hills Country Club.

This network improvement is part of Verizon Wireless’ continual effort to expand coverage, improve capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Missouri and throughout the country. Verizon Wireless has invested more than $60 billion since it was formed – $5.7 billion on average every year – to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services. In 2010, Verizon Wireless invested $90.2 million to expand and advance its Missouri network.
