To applaud Blue Springs South High School’s third-place win in Verizon Wireless’ “The Future is Now” video contest, Verizon’s James Estes will be at Blue Springs South High School on Friday, May 4, at 1:30 p.m. to present a $5,000 cash prize to the lucky winners. Verizon’s nationwide competition called on select schools to create and enter a video on the topic of how 4G LTE will change their school, community and their world. The winners were selected based on the number of votes their entries received. Of the 21 high schools that submitted videos, Blue Springs South received 9,618 votes.
