By the end of 2012, the company’s 4G LTE network will be available to more than 260 million people in more than 400 markets across the United States, enabling more people to leverage the speed and innovation offered with 4G LTE.
Products and solutions
Verizon Wireless currently offers its customers more options than any other service provider when it comes to selecting a 4G LTE-enabled device. The company provides more than 20 4G LTE devices, including smartphones, tablets, netbooks, notebooks, modems and mobile hotspots, all on the nation’s fastest 4G network. Today, the company announced that it will soon launch the DROID Incredible 4G LTE by HTC, which will allow users to shoot HD video and capture photos at the same time with its Video Pic feature, all over the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network. The company also recently introduced the Verizon Jetpack™ 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi® 4620L, to take 4G LTE speeds on the go, and the Lucid™ by LG, an easy-to-use smartphone offering 4G LTE speeds at a low price.
Verizon Wireless also recently introduced HomeFusion℠ Broadband, a solution that leverages the power and speed of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network to deliver high-speed, in-home Internet access for residential broadband, particularly in areas where Internet options are limited or are not currently available.
Innovation and collaboration
Following the launch of its 4G LTE network, Verizon opened the LTE Innovation Center located in Waltham, Mass., and has worked with some of the nation’s leading technology companies to create products and solutions that will change the face of communications. Since its opening day in July 2011, the Verizon LTE Innovation Center has hosted hundreds of industry and technology leaders and other visitors from around the world to discuss technology questions and rapidly develop, test and prototype nearly 100 4G LTE-enabled products. More than a dozen of these non-traditional, 4G LTE-enabled products that began at the Verizon LTE Innovation Center are now available to customers, with many more in the pipeline.
