MISSOULA, MT — Verizon Wireless today announced it is bringing the nation’s largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to Bozeman, Kalispell and Missoula in the coming weeks.  With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, customers can enjoy the best experience in wireless data usage when they use their 4G LTE wireless devices in these cities to surf the Web, stream music and video, take advantage of thousands of applications, and stay in touch with family and friends, all with speeds up to 10 times faster than before.

When Verizon Wireless turns on its 4G LTE network in Bozeman, Kalispell and Missoula, customers who live in, or visit, these cities will have access to the nation’s fastest 4G network.

Coverage area includes:

Bozeman – The Montana State University campus and along I-90 east to Exit 313 and west to Exit 298. Coverage will also extend west of Hwy 191 to the intersection of Jackrabbit Lane and the Bozeman Mall. Coverage includes the city of Livingston.

Kalispell – Downtown Kalispell and along Hwy 93 north to include Whitefish and south towards the intersection of Lower Valley Road. Service will also extend north along Hwy 2 to the intersection of SR40.

“Our 4G LTE network covers more than two-thirds of the U.S. population and provides our customers with the fastest 4G experience possible,” said Chris Lewter, regional president for Verizon Wireless.  “With our 4G LTE network, residents, small businesses and local government in many parts of Montana will be able to leverage the speed and connectivity through a variety of 4G LTE devices to connect with family and friends.”

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network is available to more than two-thirds of the U.S. population in 304 markets across the country and offers more 4G LTE coverage than all other networks combined.  Verizon Wireless customers looking to experience the nation’s fastest 4G network can choose from the largest selection of 4G LTE devices, ranging from tablets, mobile hotspots, smartphones and more.  Details on available devices can be found at www.verizonwireless.com/4GLTE and information on plans and pricing is available at www.verizonwireless.com/plans.

Verizon Wireless customers can also take advantage of HomeFusion Broadband, which leverages the power and speed of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network to deliver high-speed, in-home Internet access for residential broadband, particularly where Internet options are limited or are not currently available.

In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
