BLYTHEVILLE, AR — Verizon Wireless customers in the Blytheville area can now experience the nation’s fastest wireless network speeds, now that the company has turned up its 4G LTE network in Mississippi County.

Verizon’s 4G LTE network lets customers enjoy the fastest wireless experience available to stream video, share music and photos, download files and surf the Web, with speeds up to 10 times faster than those offered on any other wireless network.

“We’re working to provide as many customers as possible with access to our 4G LTE network, regardless of where they live,” said Leo Perreault, executive director of network in Arkansas.  “This network is the future of wireless technology and it’s going to improve opportunities for taking care of business on-the-go and carrying out numerous wireless tasks at a pace that’s incredibly faster than residents here have known.”

Having invested $98 million in its wireless broadband and voice and data networks in Arkansas in 2011, Verizon Wireless continues to expand its 4G LTE network across The Natural State.  No other wireless provider currently offers 4G LTE technology in Arkansas.  By the end of 2013, all of the company’s 3G network, which covers 96 percent of Arkansas, will also include 4G LTE.

Ranked highest in five of six U.S. regions according to the latest J.D. Power and Associates report, Verizon Wireless receives fewer reports of dropped calls, initial connection problems, transmission failures and late text messages than any other wireless provider.

Verizon Wireless has introduced its 4G LTE network to more than two-thirds of the U.S. population in more than 300 markets across the country since December 2010.  The company’s product portfolio features more than 20 4G LTE devices, including tablets, smartphones, mobile Hotspots and USB modems.  In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
