UPDATE - Monday, January 14: Re-watch the booth tour live stream from CES 2013.

Every January, soon after New Year’s Day, the technology world turns its full attention to Las Vegas for the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). One of the biggest trade shows in the world, the Consumer Electronics Association brings together manufacturers, software and services developers, and industry leaders from around the world to talk about what’s hot for the year ahead.

More and more companies with ties to the wireless sector have made their presence known at CES, including Verizon. Picking up on the theme of “Inspiring Innovations,” Verizon will once again show a wide range of innovations in its booth (LVCC, South Hall, #31400). Working with nearly 40 partners, technology highlighted will include: video solutions, telematics, consumer devices and smart accessories, and machine-to-machine solutions for industries including healthcare, energy, retail and more.

Lowell McAdam, chairman and chief executive officer for Verizon, will deliver a keynote on Tuesday, Jan. 8, providing attendees with perspective from the top of the company. Numerous other executives from across the business will also be on panels ranging from the social experience on devices to the connected home.

Verizon has made news at CES for many years, announcing a string of consumer multimedia entertainment products in the mid-2000s. In 2010, nearly a year before the commercial launch of 4G LTE networks, the company demonstrated a number of products that would leverage the new network and that are now available. In 2011, shortly after 4G LTE was made available to 100 million people in the United States, Verizon introduced 10 consumer devices and expanded its booth to highlight the work of the growing 4G LTE ecosystem.
