According to a report published earlier this year by Nielsen, 63 percent of Americans own smartphones, and that number is even higher for Latinos. Seventy-five percent of Latinos in the U.S. own smartphones, making the demographic an important customer base for the wireless industry.

Earlier today, Verizon Wireless introduced the newest premium retailer to give consumers the ability to purchase the latest smartphones and tablets on its 4G LTE network – Viva Móvil by Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Lopez launched Viva Móvil in collaboration with Brightstar, a global distribution and services company, and Moorehead Communications, Verizon Wireless’ largest premium retailer. Viva Móvil will offer consumers a full service shopping experience online, in customized stores and on mobile devices.

Viva Móvil will revolutionize the wireless shopping experience for Latino consumers with a unique social shopping experience through its Facebook page. While on the page, consumers can get personalized recommendations, shop with their friends, comment on devices and share what device or accessory they purchased – all while staying connected on Facebook. In the next few weeks, the Viva Móvil by Jennifer will announce store opening in major markets including New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
