With the recent launch of the HTC One (M8), tech and mobile enthusiasts everywhere are buzzing about the new device. On launch day, the hashtag #HTC generated hundreds of thousands of mentions on Twitter, and a large part of the social conversation focused on the first-ever Duo Camera feature.

The Duo Camera feature on the HTC One (M8) uses two lenses to take one picture, creating vivid images in almost any light and bringing a new dimension to mobile photography.

Once you take a picture, however, the camera’s depth sensor, unique focus capabilities and other innovative features, allow you to get creative with cool effects:

  • UFocus – Refocuses the photo on different objects in the frame
  • Foregrounder – Isolates your subject and applies effects to the rest of the photo such as Sketch, Zoom Blur, Cartoon and Colorize
  • Seasons – Adds seasonal animations such as Sakura, Dandelion, Maple Leaf and Snow
  • Dimension Plus – Allows you to view your image from different angles just by tilting the screen

The new HTC One (M8) is available online and in stores for $199.99 with a new two-year activation.
