UPDATE: Wednesday, April 9 - The Samsung ATIV SE will be available online starting April 11 and in Verizon Wireless stores starting April 12. For a limited time, customers who purchase the smartphone for $199.99 can get a second one free, each with new two year activation.

April 4 - The Samsung ATIV SE™, a Windows Phone smartphone available exclusively from Verizon Wireless, is available for preorder starting today for $199.99 with a new two-year activation.

The Global Ready™ device has a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED® display so users can play games and watch movies in vivid colors and read their documents on a high-resolution screen. And because it runs Windows Phone, users can enjoy seamless access to Microsoft products and services such as Microsoft Office®, OneDrive, Xbox Live® and Skype.

Sharing high-quality pictures and video is important in today’s social connected world. The ATIV SE delivers with a 13-megapixel camera plus various editing tools for a more personalized picture, including the Paper Artist and Photo Editor apps. Photography fans can also use the different shooting modes such as Continuous Shot and HDR (High Dynamic Range) for even more creative effects, while apps like Facebook Messenger, Instagram and Vine allow for sharing with social followers.

But sharing doesn’t always happen through social media. Sometimes users want to share pictures, music or documents with a friend sitting right next to them. The ATIV Beam feature lets users transfer multimedia to other near field communication (NFC)-capable devices, including other Windows Phones and Android devices. Customers can also use Samsung Link to sync their content on other compatible Samsung devices and personal computers so they can access pictures, videos, and documents from multiple devices.

Gamers can access Xbox Live from their ATIV SE for playing games, checking achievements, updating their avatars and more. Depending on their gaming styles and preferences, the smartphone can become their main gaming device or complement their Xbox console experience. Users can send and receive messages from their fellow gamers, and apps like Xbox SmartGlass allow users to navigate their consoles.

The ATIV SE also supports Samsung’s WatchON™ app so users can control their TVs with the smartphone, search for programs, and set reminders for upcoming content. Users can also remember to watch their favorite shows and not have to worry about channel surfing to find their sports teams.

The Verizon Edge program is also available for eligible customers who want to upgrade. For a limited time, customers who choose Edge and a MORE Everything plan with 10 GB data allowance or more can add four smartphones to the plan for $160 per month.
