Football in May? Most definitely. Football fans will gather and celebrate as their beloved sport takes another turn in the spotlight. The 79th Annual National Football League Player Selection Meeting, otherwise known as the NFL Draft, takes place from May 8 – 10, and you have a virtual front-row seat right from your mobile phone.

Throughout the NFL Draft, NFL Mobile from Verizon will offer live NFL Draft coverage, news and video on-demand featuring draft and team analysis. In addition, new features have been added to the app for draft days and for the regular season. NFL Mobile’s Draft Xtra, for example, will be your second-screen companion, providing comprehensive NFL Draft coverage from the NFL Network. Fans will be able to answer polls, predict picks and watch exclusive live video on their Verizon Wireless smartphones.

New content available with the draft this year is “The Call.” With “The Call,” you can catch live video of Odell Beckham and Jordan Matthews at Radio City and Jarvis Landry, Terrance West and Bruce Ellington from their homes surrounded by hometown friends and family as they wait to hear their names called. “The Call” will also provide more information about these athletes’ journeys leading up to draft day.
