As the 72,200+ fans take their seats and settle in to see who will take home the Lombardi Trophy Sunday evening, a group of dedicated Verizon employees will remain standing.  The team of network testers will walk in and around the stadium, testing to ensure that the Verizon Wireless network is optimized and fans are getting the best mobile experience possible.

The Verizon network testers check network speeds and connectivity inside and outside of the stadium as well as around the Phoenix area.  Armed with special test devices that use GPS coordinators to track exact location and performance, the team of testers is less focused on the gridiron and more focused on overall network performance.  Their work helps ensure that Verizon Wireless customers can call, text, post and share pictures throughout the game.

The Verizon network testers are just one more part of the company’s plan to prepare for the biggest week in football.  The company has also more than quadrupled its 4G LTE data network capacity throughout metro Phoenix for Super Bowl XLIX, the Pro Bowl and the Phoenix Open.
