Verizon is turning the skies above the year’s biggest auto racing event into its customers’ personal whiteboard. On Sunday, May 24, Verizon customers can have their text messages written by a team of skywriters high above the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the Indianapolis 500. Whether the track or at home, Verizon customers can simply text their 25 character or less messages to 25581 between 8am on Saturday, May 23, and 3pm on Sunday, May 24. This is the first time Skytexting has been made available at the Indy 500.

In addition, Verizon customers at race events could have their seats instantly upgraded to premium locations around the track. Verizon representatives will be on the lookout for Verizon customers to surprise with instant access to exclusive viewing locations either close to the track or in the iconic Pagoda above the start and finish line. There’s nothing for customers to do other than enjoy the view. It’s a simple thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless.

As with all Verizon IndyCar Series races, the INDYCAR 15 app provides customers from any carrier great Indy 500 content, but Verizon customers get exclusive access  like live in-car cameras providing 360 degree views, live driver-pit crew chatter, live radio broadcast of the race, and live leaderboard and car telemetry. INDYCAR 15 is available on Android or iOS smartphones and tablets. The app is free, but data usage may apply when downloading and using.

Check out the INDYCAR15 app daily leading up to the big race to get the latest news and watch live video of practice sessions and other events.
