How to Get Immediate Credit for Your Smartphone Trade-In with Verizon

Tips for getting the most out of your trade-in credit

Trading in your phone should be simple.

At Verizon stores, you can receive immediate value when you trade in your smartphone and apply that value immediately as a down payment toward your new smartphone to reduce your monthly device payment amount. Any remaining value is given in the form of an electronic Verizon gift card or a Verizon account credit.

Not with Verizon and ready to make the switch? For a limited time you can get $300 when you trade in your good working condition smartphone and switch or add a line. That way, a Droid Turbo 2 which would normally be $26 per month for 24 months, could then be $13.50 per month for 24 months. A Samsung Galaxy S 6 which would normally be $24 per month for 24 months could then be $11.50 per month for 24 months.

You can also apply the trade-in value toward accessories or your bill. So another way you can think of it is $100 off your bill for the next three months. Leaning toward accessories? You can get a Moto 360 2nd gen smartwatch with the $300 trade in value or you can get that Fitbit Charge you’ve had your eyes on and save the remaining value for later.

If you are switching over and subscribe to an XL or XXL size on the Verizon Plan you can get 2GB of bonus data  every month for every new phone activated.

Don’t have the time to trade in at a store? You can also complete it online through the Verizon website here
