Get a stylish smartphone that suits you

From the refined metal that frames the vivid 5.2-inch display to its premium materials, the new Moto X is designed with a sense of style and balance. The 1080p HD display makes videos, photos and other content look their best.

Use intuitively with a more pure Android experience

Moto X is powered by Android without software skins, offering simple and natural access to Google™ mobile services. The quad–core processor, quick introduction to the latest Android updates and Verizon 4G LTE combine to help you enjoy amazing speed and interact with Google apps as they were intended.

Just tell Moto X when you have something you want done

Use your voice to control the new Moto X. Create a custom prompt such as “Hello, Moto X?” and then ask questions (like, “Will it rain today?”), interact with apps (such as asking for texts to be read aloud), tell it to skip to another song or share a photo.

Moto X learns your preferences

Make life simpler with a smartphone that adapts to you. Moto X knows when you wish to sleep soundly (and only hear the most important calls) and when you want your smartphone to stay silent (such as when you’re in a movie theater or studying). Motorola Assist lets you set a safe zone at your home so you can keep Moto X unlocked.

Find the perfect photo by choosing the best shot

With just the twist of your wrist, you can launch the Moto X camera. The smartphone takes multiple pictures before and after you touch the screen—you select your favorite image.

I took along time to pick out my phone and make sure it was the right one for me. I can say honestly this phone is hands down one of the best droids ive used (had androids as my work phone always) the google now features and everything else make this phone extremely easy to use, battery life is amazing, and i am VERY satisfied. I will never consider an Apple phone for my personal phone again, EVER! Thank you Motorola and of course Thank you VZW for being an amazing provider. see less

The Moto X doesn't get enough credit. This is a great phone without any add-on junk--about as close as you can get to stock Android on Verizon. The experience is much nicer than the Touchwiz overlay on my old Galaxy S3. The device feels great in your hand (I have the black plastic back). The metal band around the edge gives it a premium feel, the curved back makes gripping the device more natural than square slab phones, and the concave Motorola logo on the back gives your index finger a comfortable place to rest while on a call.
The Active Display is very nice--it pulses when you have a new text or email, and you can simply tap on the display to get a quick look without picking up your phone and unlocking it.
The only drawback I've found so far is that the rounded back causes it to rock a bit when you use the phone while it's laying down on the table. I haven't been too annoyed by it so far. I just use a lighter touch. Also Verizon needs to offer 32GB models in store, not just 16GB.
Looking forward to the Lollipop upgrade which has already hit some Moto X Pure handsets. I'm hoping Verizon won't be too far behind in offering the update to standard Moto X users. see less

I love this phone. I had no previous smart phone experience and figured everything out on my own fairly quickly. Ok...my son helped once...on a question I had. So anyone thinking it may be hard to figure out...it is not.
I love the little feature where it makes videos out of pics you take once in awhile... I have kept and posted several of them. :)
I haven't really played lots of games or downloaded a bunch of things. Not really my style. But I can keep the apps that I do use right where I need them and nothing is cluttered.
HIGHLY recommend this phone. :) Enjoy! see less

I looked at other more expensive phones and I think this is comparable in detail and materials; it's simple and elegant. I especially like the screen being less glossy that others I have seen which makes it easier to see in bright areas. It has plenty of power and memory and there are no glitches in any of its functions so far; everything loads smoothly and quickly.
I migrated to this phone from Kit Kat, and while it has taken a little getting used to it is very simple and intuitive to operate because of the basic Android 5 system used here. Good signal and sound; the hardware is of excellent quality. Battery life is a little less than my previous phone but I still make it through the day just fine.
I like the size, it fits in my jeans pocket just fine even with a Defender case on it, and I'm finding it very easy to type emails and text with a minimum of errors.
I do wish it had Advanced Calling because this is replacing my home ISP as well, but I was told there is a firmware update coming so perhaps that will become possible soon.
All in all I am certainly more than satisfied. see less

Things I LOVE about my Moto X:
- The compact size of my Moto X ... Who wants to carry around a giant honkin' phone?!
- It runs a pretty clean version of Android Lollipop, which is snappy, fun, and easy to use ... Why mess with a good thing?
- The thing is pretty smart about knowing when to give me some hint text on how to do what I want to do ... No episodes of struggling to figure out how to do

- The thing is pretty smart about knowing when to give me some hint text on how to do what I want to do ... No episodes of struggling to figure out how to do something that should be easy but somehow isn't.
- Love the time and notifications display at a glance - don't need to unlock or even touch it to check texts, emails, time.
- It looks pretty slick. (I got the basic black.)
- Double LED camera flash/ flashlight on back is great.
- Did I mention it's just easy to use and nice to look at? I'm smiling right now just thinking about by Moto X.
- Totally beats Apple and Samsung in every way possible!
What I DON'T love:
- The raised bars on the top and bottom of front ... At first, I liked these so that I could put my phone face-down and not worry about the glass touching anything ... But, these bars have a sharp texture that hurts my ear when I'm holding it to talk on the phone. These bars should've been made of rubber or plastic or simply not have that texturing on them.

It's small enough for one handed use, but the visible screen is large enough to compete with any of the other gigantic and inconvenient phones on the market today. The curved back feels comfortable in your hand, and when slipped in your pocket you hardly know it's there. You can turn the dual l.e.d. flashlight on with two chopping motions, even while the screen is locked. There are too many cool little features like this to list, and everything is so blazingly fast on this phone. If you're on the fence about which one to get, go with the 2nd gen Moto X! I've read in multiple forums that the screen is easy to shatter, so be sure to buy a case. see less

My last three phones have been a Motorola. Upgraded from RAZR M. For the X 2nd Gen, went the BYO route and chose black leather 32Gb with custom monogram on back. Arrived in less than a week. Much larger than RAZR M, so still getting used to it as I prefer smaller phones, but caved in.
Besides the large size (same as Galaxy 5) I love this phone. Highly recommend the leather (do your research and look at actual photos and videos of the leather and wood options). The specs are superior to most phones except for the iPhone 6's memory option (128GB) and the Droid Turbo's camera. From a composite view, Samsung, Apple and other Motorola's, this one seemed to have it all (note I placed a higher weight on ability to customize).
I spent probably a total of 3 months researching phones weighing various features without cost being a concern and chose this phone. It has exceeded my expectations on all fronts. That said I do have some initial thoughts to consider.
1. Purchase the turbo charger for rapid charging. Heard people complain about the cost of $29. It is well worth it.
2. Get a screen cover. I went straight to the VZW store to purchase (another $29) and had the VZS emp install. It doesn't go all the way to the edge but got used to it.
3. Get some sort of protective shell. I think the edges are metallic and worry about it hitting the ground hard. Upon research, I purchased a case mate hula bumper. Highly recommended by current X 2nd gen users and was out of stock on most sites. I chose it because it was the least intrusive cover that I could find.
Nutshell, you won't be sorry with this phone. Tried to go away from Moto but the phone won me over. I wsd looking forward to the new 126GB iPhone but hung up on their proprietary closed source platform. see less

Have had phone for just a few days. Battery life is great for a smart phone. I'm getting over a day on a charge. I really like the voice command feature. Call quality is good even on speaker phone. Haven't had a real good test for reception quality yet. Camera takes good quality pictures also. Also really like the speaker on the front of the phone where it should be.

I've used many other manufacturers, and Motorola hit the nail on the head with using stock Android. I've used many other manufacturers, and Motorola hit the nail on the head with using stock Android. This platform helps to minimize lagging and makes it very user friendly compared to using other user interfaces. I tried out iOS, but found myself coming back to this device due to convenience. I ordered mine in December of 2014 and it came with a Lollipop update right out of the box! Many great new features, but still familiar enough to not be a huge learning curve. Speaking of which, it took almost no time at all to get set up! Especially with everything backed up with Google! I have the 32gb version and wouldn't recommend any less since roughly 7 or 8gb are used for the software.
The body design makes the phone comfortable to hold and the bezel gives it a nice balanced weight. I normally prefer smaller phones, but this phone is not too big or small. The ability to customize this device is so extraordinary! Wood, leather, canvas...all in several varieties- It'll be hard to make up your mind! I've already made up my mine on the next design!
Battery life has been fine for me since I use battery saving options as much as possible. I love that it is compatible with the Turbo charger, so on a busy day for me, I do not have to hug the wall for very long!
This phone is a diamond in the rough and I hope more people discover it because I have found this to be the best phone I've ever had! see less

Yes, I recommend this product.
I really like the phone, but why would you release a new product with features missing with no known time line to add them. Simultaneous voice and data has been a standard now for a long time. Advanced calling 1.0 should have been prepared for this device. Its the one thing really holding it back from being an excellent phone.

It has very quick response and runs smoothly. Battery life still isn't there and the camera can be a little better but I love the phone. Also the speakers are phenomenal.

However, I was so bored with IOS and when iPhone 6 came out and it was the same old story I custom ordered my Moto X. I got the white with the 32 GB and leather back. I absolutely love this phone. Imported all my iTunes via Google Play and imported all my contacts via gmail. This phone is fast and never misses a beat. My husband has the new Droid Turbo and still has not gotten the Lollipop update. I got it over a month ago. The Moto app is great. Knows when I am home, at my office or in my car and talks to me when I have new texts of phone calls. Cooking dinner and I can answer the phone by just talking to it. The speakers are extremely loud and for the first time ever I take phone calls over the speakers. iPhone speakers were terrible. Camera is great. No more missing pictures because I have to unlock phone first then swipe up. Just shake the phone and touch the screen. Love this phone. Bye bye iPhone. see less

I love this phone (I also had 1st Moto X and loved it). It is fast, beautiful, clean, AND did get the Android Lollipop update right away. Moving around the settings (before and after Lollipop) is pretty straight forward, which I appreciate. I love how close to pure Android the Moto X is - and the fact that there is even less bloatware on this phone than most other devices is a huge plus. The screen is beautiful and responsive. Sound is solid all the way through - calls, notifications, speaker, etc. Having the phone come with Google Now Launcher (and Google Now only gets better) is awesome.
The Moto X Assist is fantastic. I fell in love with it in my first Moto X; and have found that this particular user experience is PRICELESS. I don't foresee going back to another way of doing things. I don't use the Lollipop option to use their ambient display - I simply love the Moto X default. (Having said that - it speaks VOLUMES that Google would find a way to bring some of that experience to all Android users with ambient display - Moto hit it out of the park!#
It isn't perfect; the battery quite as impressive as other devices #but so much has been said about that). I don't worry tho; I get through the day no problem and have a charger if I need it. I wish it came with 32gb standard storage, as the default apps seem to take up a good bit out of the box.
Other things to mention: there are tweaks within Developer Options where you can play with the color scheme a bit, and there is an invert option that is fun. It is cool that we get a flashlight app right in the notification tray out of the box. My phone has not been buggy or prone to crashing or freezing in the 3+ months I've had it. see less
